- Breathe through your nose
- Start eating late, finish eating early
- Exercise to improve/maintain strength, flexibility and cardiovascular health
- Sleep in a clutter-free, dark, cool room
- Go to bed at the same time each night; wake up at the same time each morning
- Each week, eat as many different plant foods as you can
- Cut out dairy
- Reduce the amount of processed food you eat
- Enjoy alcohol with friends and family, rarely alone
- Get outside during daylight hours at least once a day, the earlier the better
- Delete your social media accounts
- Don't look at phones, tablets and computer screens in the evening
- What goes around comes around - if an opportunity arises: help someone
- Swap your frown for a smile
- Be prepared: take a raincoat, umbrella, gloves and an extra layer in the winter; take a hat, sunglasses, suncream in the summer
- Always carry a bottle of water, some fruit and some nuts whenever you go out
- Walk, cycle, take the bus or use a train before using a car as the last resort.
- Swim/shower in cold water as often as possible
- Eat fewer sugary foods. Make them a treat again
- Seize every opportunity to socialise with people (virtually doesn't count)
- Be curious: ask questions and listen to the answers
- Every once in a while sing along to a song
- Form good habits
- Buy less shite; give away the shite that you already own
- Write a diary if you want to, but at the very least keep a record of the things you've done. This record is not for sharing.
- Be clear about your beliefs. Be able to articulate them with clarity.
- Treat people with kindness
- Make food from raw ingredients
- Grow plants from seed
- Learn to read music and play an instrument
- Do something competitively
- Learn about new things
- For the rest of your life, learn everything you can about one thing
- Spend some time alone at least once a week
- Look after your possessions
- Look after yourself
- It's OK to change your mind
- Eat mindfully and chew your food properly
